The first day, we charged through Louisiana and North Texas, which Harrietta thought was decidely boring.
The next day, we finally got some scenery in New Mexico and made it to the mountains of Taos, NM.
On Day 3, we headed over on I-40 into Arizona in time to spend New Year's Eve at the Grand Canyon. We missed sunset, but the next day we caught the first sunrise of 2008 from the rim of the canyon.
On Day 4, we also visited the Sunshine Crater Volcanic National Park.
After that, we charged across the Hoover Dam and celebrated the New Year's in style in Las Vegas.
We slept in on our fifth and final morning, we flew up I-5 and made it back to Oakland.
Harrietta for one was happy to be back to the O, because, well, happy cows come from California!
